SPONSORED BT THE MULLIN VOLUNTEER COMMITTEE

Andrew Mullin is a candidate for the Mayor of Wayzata this November. “As your potential Mayor, I plan to engage our citizens and LISTEN. I’m committed to being a visible and accessible mayor, engaging with residents and businesses directly to address their concerns and feedback. We need leadership that listens and responds directly to the needs of the community. No one person has all the answers and our PEOPLE know best. We need to make our local government less opaque and give people a voice again.”

Spreading Smiles One Flower at a Time
On October 16th, Candlelight Floral & Gifts is hitting the streets of Wayzata to turn your day into a blooming masterpiece with their event, Petal It Forward.
They will be handing out mini-bouquets to random passersby on Lake Street—because who couldn’t use a little more flower power in their life?
Here’s the best part: You’ll get not one, but TWO bouquets! One to keep, and one to gift to someone else. It’s a chain reaction of happiness—just don’t forget to share the love on social with #PetalItForward.
Science has our back on this one: 88% of people say giving flowers boosts their mood, and 80% say receiving them does the same. So, whether you’re the giver or receiver, everyone’s walking away a little happier.
Mark your calendar, Wayzata—October 16th is the day to spread some joy, one bouquet at a time.

🍟 RESTAURANT FEATURE OF THE WEEK: BIRCH’S ON THE LAKE

Supper Club Vibes Up Top, Brewery Bliss Below
If you’re looking for a spot that serves up great food and house-made beer, Birch’s on the Lake has you covered. This place puts a twist on the classic supper club experience with two levels of fun—upstairs is all about that supper club feel, while downstairs is a cozy brewery space with killer views of Long Lake.
We hung out on the brewery level, and despite the shiny steel tanks lining the windows, the vibe was anything but industrial. Picture this: a roaring fireplace in one corner and a 180-degree view of the lake as your backdrop. It’s the perfect spot to sip on something seasonal.
Speaking of drinks, Birch’s won’t be locking in any year-round brews. Brewer Brennan Greene keeps things fresh with rotating seasonal selections—think hoppy, sour, coffee-inspired beers, and even cider for the non-beer crowd.
