Declutter Like a Pro: Plymouth’s Drop-Off Days Return April 25-26

Plymouth residents, it’s time to clear out the clutter! 🗑️✨ The city’s annual Drop-Off Days are happening April 25-26 at the Plymouth Maintenance Facility (14900 23rd Ave. N.), giving you a prime opportunity to offload unwanted items—without the hassle.

📅 Event Schedule:

  • Friday, April 25 (3-6 p.m.) – Free items only (think bikes, light bulbs, used oil, and more).

  • Saturday, April 26 (7:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.) – Free + pay items (including mattresses, appliances, electronics, and remodeling debris).

💰 Pro tip: Prepay online and save up to $25 on pay-item drop-offs!

Prepay Rates:

  • $40 per vehicle ($50 day-of)

  • $80 per vehicle + trailer ($100 day-of)

  • $300 for box trucks ($325 day-of)

Know before you go: Bring proof of residency and an electronic or paper copy of your receipt if you prepaid. Plus, follow traffic signage off Hwy 55 for smooth entry.

This event is popular, so expect some wait times. But hey, a clutter-free home is worth it, right?

Free Trees for Wayzata Residents! 🌳

Spring is here, and so is Wayzata’s Free Tree Giveaway! As a thank-you for helping keep our city green, we’re handing out free potted shade trees—because a little extra canopy never hurt anyone.

🏡 How It Works:

  • Reserve your tree by Monday, May 5 (while supplies last).

  • Trees must be planted on private property within Wayzata city limits.

  • Delivery date: Friday, May 23—Wayzata Public Works will drop off your tree.

This Year’s Tree Lineup:

1️⃣ American Basswood – Heart-shaped leaves, fragrant flowers, and a favorite for songbirds. Best in moist, well-drained soil.
2️⃣ Sugar Maple – Stunning fall colors + lush summer shade. Ideal for wide, open spaces.

🎨 Art, Music & More—Primavera Returns April 10-13! 🎨

Plymouth’s annual Primavera Springtime Celebration of the Arts is back, bringing four days of stunning artwork, live performances, and creative inspiration to the Plymouth Community Center (14800 34th Ave. N.).

Best part? It’s completely free.

🎶 Live music from the Wayzata High School Jazz Band & Plymouth Concert Band

Spring Clean Up Day is Coming – Mark Your Calendar for May 3! 🚛

It’s time to clear out the clutter! On Saturday, May 3, the City of Wayzata will be making your spring cleaning easier with curbside pickup for residents who pay for recycling and garbage service through their utility bill.

🛋️ What Can You Toss?
✅ Small carpet pieces (rolled & tied, max 4’ long)
✅ Chairs, grills (no gas tanks), exercise equipment
✅ Doors, windows, gutters, drained lawn mowers

💰 Big items? Here’s what you need to know:

  • Furniture, mattresses & box springs: $69.96 each (Schedule pickup by May 1)

  • Appliances & electronics: $90.18 each (Schedule pickup by May 1)

📞 To arrange payment & pickup for large items, call Republic Services at 763-972-3335 before 3 p.m. on Thursday, May 1.

Pick-up will take place on Monday, May 5.
