Kick Off Your Sunday Shoes! Wayzata High School Theater Goes Full ā80s with Footloose
Get ready for an evening of high-energy music and dance as Wayzata High School brings Footloose to the stage!
This lively musical, created by Dean Pitchford and Walter Bobbie, follows the story of Ren McCormack, a teen who moves from Chicago to the small town of Bomont, where dancing is banned by the townās strict pastor, Reverend Shaw.
Refusing to accept the no-dancing rule, Ren rallies his friends, including the pastorās daughter, Ariel, and his new buddy, Willard, to fight for freedom and bring dance back to Bomont.
With themes of friendship, love, and resilience, Footloose is a celebration of self-expression thatās sure to get audiences on their feet!

The Plymouth History Center is kicking off the holiday season with its first-ever Merry Market on Saturday, Dec. 7, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Plymouth Old Town Hall (3605 Fernbrook Lane).
