📢 TALK OF THE TOWN

Scott & Laura Seabloom are bringing Minnesota’s first 3 Toastique locations to Minnesota (including Wayzata).
The gourmet toast and juice bar will be opening its doors at The Promenade in Wayzata this fall!
The great folks at Toastique believe that “healthy food should be simple to understand and appreciate, easy to enjoy, and above all, accessible to everyone.”
They thrive with a unique menu that includes toast-focused creations, smoothies, cold-pressed juice, and smoothie bowls (all without added preservatives or additives).
Scott and Laura Seabloom are the first entrepreneurs to bring the unique restaurant franchise to Minnesota and commented that the taste of the food was 90% of the reason they were drawn to becoming franchisees.
I don’t know about you, but finding a unique, inviting space that serves up fresh, high-quality, and tasty food sounds like the avocado to my toast.
Look out for the Wayzata location coming soon!

Dock updates for Wayzata!
We’ve all seen the new Panoway lake walk, right? If not, do yourself a favor and get to downtown Wayzata and walk the new planks.
If you have visited the new walkway. You may have noticed the new floating docks are complete with more loading areas.
There are also more slips available, but the city is covering a portion of the maintenance and operations as well.
The good news for Wayzata residents is that they can park for free. You can register for free parking here: wayzata.org/freeresidentboatparking
Community members have been gathering a ton of feedback and will be meeting again to discuss the feedback and find opportunities to improve the updated docks before Summer ‘25.

The race for Wayzata City Council is on!
You may have noticed by this week’s sponsor that the race for city leadership is in full swing. Here’s the latest scoop:
Mayor Johanna Mouton is back in the game, officially filing her candidacy to extend her tenure.
She’s not the only one eyeing the mayor’s office, though.
Former City Council member Andrew Mullin is very much in the mix, and he’s ready to shake things up with a fresh perspective.
Over at the City Council, incumbent Alex Plechash is aiming to keep his seat, while Ken Sorrenson has jumped into the fray, hoping to snag one of the two open spots.
This election is shaping up to be a real nail-biter, with each candidate bringing their own unique vision for the future of Wayzata.
Candidates have until August 13th to throw their hat in the ring.
The community is eager to see who will lead Wayzata to its next chapter.

🍟 RESTAURANT FEATURE OF THE WEEK: BACIO

Bacio is an elegant Italian experience that will tingle the tastebuds.
I know, I know, it’s technically not in Plymouth or Wayzata (but it’s close enough).
Bacio is a super classy Italian eatery that offers an upscale vibe and ambiance that are rare in most places.
And the best part of a great pasta spot? Their food is incredible.
They source their ingredients locally, and everything is made from scratch.
If you want to take out your significant other, a friend or two, or go enjoy a nice glass of chardonnay & bowl of pasta by yourself, check out this family-owned restaurant. The service is as immaculate as the good.
