Book Lovers, Rejoice! The Plymouth Library Sale is Back!

If your bookshelf is looking a little empty—or you just can’t resist a good deal—mark your calendar for Saturday, March 15. The Friends of the Plymouth Library are rolling out hundreds of books, puzzles, DVDs, and CDs at bargain prices.

Books range from just 50¢ to $2. But here’s the real kicker: from 2–3 PM, you can fill an entire bag for just $5!

📍 Where? Plymouth Library (15700 36th Ave N, Plymouth, MN 55446)

🕘 When?

  • 9–10 AM – Early access for Friends members & donors (you can donate at the door!)

  • 10 AM–3 PM – Open to the public

  • 2–3 PM – Fill-a-bag for $5!

💵 Payment: Cash or check only—no cards or digital payments (yet!).

Got books to donate?

Help them keep the shelves stocked! They’re accepting gently used books, puzzles, DVDs, and CDs at the Plymouth Library’s meeting room at the following dates & times:
📅 March 1 (10:30 AM–12 PM)
📅 March 14 (9 AM–3 PM)

🚫 No textbooks, encyclopedias, or old-school VHS tapes, please.

Proceeds support Friends of the Plymouth Library programs and events—so every book you buy (or donate) helps the community.

Wayzata’s State of the City—Get the Inside Scoop on 2025

Wayzata’s annual State of the City Address is set for Tuesday, February 25, at Wayzata City Hall.

The event kicks off at 4:30 PM with a casual meet and greet featuring Wayzata’s new Mayor, Andrew Mullin.

📍 Where? City Hall Community Room (600 Rice Street E, Wayzata, MN 55391)


🕓 When?

  • 4:30 – 5:00 PM – Meet & greet with Mayor Mullin

  • 5:00 – 6:00 PM – State of the City Address

  • Q&A to follow with City Manager Jeff Dahl

Expect updates on:
✅ Efforts to diversify revenue streams (reducing reliance on local property taxes)
✅ Key accomplishments from 2024
✅ Major priorities for 2025
✅ Development projects shaping downtown Wayzata

Light refreshments will be available. If you can’t attend in person, the program will be recorded and accessible online and on WCTV after the event.

Plymouth’s Memory Café: A Place for Connection & Support

A new community event series is offering support for those living with early- and mid-stage dementia—and their caregivers. Plymouth Memory Café takes place on the fourth Monday of each month, providing a welcoming space to socialize, ask questions, and learn from others navigating similar challenges.

📅 Upcoming Dates:

  • February 24

  • March 24

  • April 28

Time: 1:00 — 2:30 PM

Location: Plymouth Community Center (14800 34th Ave N)

Each session includes:
🎶 Music therapy with a teaching artist
💬 Support & discussion with a social worker specializing in dementia care
☕ Coffee, tea, and light refreshments

Registration & Cost
  • Plymouth residents: $20 per session

  • Non-residents: $24 per session

  • Sign up for individual events or all three in the series

Big-Time Hockey is Coming to Plymouth in 2026

The Plymouth Ice Center has been chosen as the main host site for the 2026 Chipotle-USA Hockey High School National Championships, set for March 18-22, 2026.

In partnership with Wayzata Youth Hockey Association, the event will bring together the top high school teams from USA Hockey’s 12 districts to compete for the national title.

📍 Location: Plymouth Ice Center (3650 Plymouth Blvd)
📅 Dates: March 18-22, 2026

This marks the third time the Plymouth Ice Center and Wayzata Youth Hockey Association have hosted the event, previously welcoming the tournament in 2018 and 2023.

Beyond the action on the ice, the tournament is expected to bring thousands of visitors to the area, boosting local businesses, including hotels, restaurants, and retailers.
