📢 TALK OF THE TOWN

The Panoway Lakewalk is now open!

After 10+ years of planning, construction on the 1,200 foot-long Panoway Lakewalk is now complete. The $11.5 million structure offers residents and visitors a scenic path perfect for walking the shores of Lake Minnetonka in downtown Wayzata.

The aim for Panoway is to:

  • Improve the lakeside ecosystem.

  • Provide greater public access.

  • Preserve Wayzata’s history.

  • Help businesses flourish through a more welcoming atmosphere.

There aren’t many things more beautiful than a summer night on Lake Minnetonka.

The Grocer’s Table owner to open a neighboring restaurant in Wayzata!

If you’ve ever eaten at Grocer’s Table, you’re in for a treat. Downtown Wayzata will be getting a new restaurant from the founder of GT, Lindsay Pohlad.

The new spot is expected to seat 85 and is expected to be a moodier counterpart to the Grocer’s Table and will include another outdoor patio focusing on elevated food and cocktails (what a vibe).

Expect the new digs to open this fall.

Highway 55 headaches continue.

The Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT) announced that as of July 8th, there will be even more disruptions to Highway 55.

There will be a permanent closure of the Highway 55 Service Road/15th Avenue access from Highway 55 at Larch Lane. To reach 15th Avenue/Highway 55 Service Road after the cutoff, motorists should plan to use the detour via Goldenrod Lane

Also, starting July 15, at 7 a.m., a portion of westbound Highway 55 near I-494 condenses down to one lane. Stretching through to Aug. 9, this shutdown will be essential for crews to lay the groundwork for utility work following.

All of this is weather permitting, of course.

The Double Barrel is my go-to (it also happens to be an award-winner). If you aren’t after a burger, they’ve got plenty of other incredible options as well.

The service is always incredible, and the atmosphere is fantastic as well.
