The Picture Wayzata Photo Contest is officially open from July 15 through December 15, and the City of Wayzata is inviting photographers of all ages and skill levels to submit their best local pics.

Whether it’s a lakeside sunset, a community event, or a quiet trail moment — if it captures the spirit of Wayzata, it’s fair game.

🏆 Prizes:

Photos will be posted on the City’s Facebook page, where the public will vote to determine the winners.

It’s Back: Plymouth Kids Fest Hits the Hilde August 21

Calling all kids (and their grown-ups)! Plymouth’s biggest family party of the summer is back. Kids Fest is set for Thursday, August 21 from 5:00–8:00 PM at the Hilde Performance Center, and the whole thing is totally free.

This annual outdoor bash transforms the Hilde lawn into a high-energy summer carnival with a dash of hands-on learning — and a soundtrack of kid-friendly rock to keep things moving.

🎪 What to Expect:

• Bounce houses, inflatables & games galore

• Face painting, balloon art & strolling performers

• Interactive sponsor booths

• A STEAM Zone where kids can explore science, tech, engineering, arts & math

🎸 Live Music & Performances:

• Riffin’ Griffin hits the main stage at 5:15 & 6:45 PM

  Minneapolis-based and family-focused, this band blends catchy power-pop with big energy and lyrics kids (and adults) will love.

• Dazzlin’ Dave, a National Yo-Yo Master, performs up close and on stage:

  • 5:30 PM – Strolling Yo-Yo Performance

  • 6:30 PM – Stage Show at the small stage

🍕 Food Trucks On Site

Bring your appetite — local food trucks will be serving up food and drinks for purchase throughout the event.
