Water Main Flushing Begins April 14 in Plymouth
📆 Runs: April 14–May 23
📍 Happens in stages, by neighborhood (see schedule below)
Time for a little spring cleaning—Plymouth-style. Starting April 14, the City of Plymouth will begin its annual water main flushing to help keep our water system in tip-top shape.
It’s totally routine—but here’s what you need to know:
You might notice rusty water or a dip in water pressure on your neighborhood’s flushing day.
Try to avoid doing laundry that day.
If your water looks discolored, just run your outdoor faucet until it clears up.
The water’s still safe—it just needs a little TLC during the process.
Here’s when they’re flushing near you:
April 14–18:
Industrial + residential areas on both sides of I-494, south of Hwy 55
April 21–May 2:
Residential areas west of I-494 and south of the Canadian Pacific tracks
Area near Sunset Trail between Cheshire Ln & County Rd 73
May 5–9:
Commercial + residential around southern and eastern Medicine Lake
Both sides of I-494 between Schmidt Lake Rd and Hwy 55
May 12–16:
Residential + commercial areas north of 36th Ave and east of I-494
May 19–23:
Northwest corner of Plymouth, west of I-494
North/west edges of Medicine Lake
