Turtle Fest: A Shell-ebration at French Regional Park

Get ready to come out of your shell—Turtle Fest is back at French Regional Park and it's bringing serious turtle energy.

Hosted by Three Rivers Park District and a crew of turtle-loving experts, this 4-hour fest is packed with:

✅ Live turtle meet-and-greets
✅ Canoeing in turtle territory
✅ Turtle-themed art projects
✅ Photo booth, trivia, and food trucks (because turtles AND tacos = win)

You’ll also get face time with wildlife biologists, reps from the Minnesota Zoo, HerpMapper, and TurtleTracker—all sharing the inside scoop on turtle conservation and local species.

Whether you're 7 or 70, this is your chance to level up your turtle trivia, meet some slow-moving stars, and have a shell of a good time.

Fernbrook Lane Closure Started May 19

If Fernbrook Lane is part of your daily route, it’s time to plan a detour.

Starting Monday, May 19, Fernbrook Lane N. will be closed in both directions between Harbor Lane N. and 34th Avenue N. The closure is expected to last about two weeks, with the road reopening on Tuesday, June 3, weather permitting.

Why the disruption? Crews will be digging in to complete underground utility work tied to a nearby private residential development.

🔁 Detour Route: Harbor Ln N. → 34th Ave N.
⚠️ Heads-up signs have already been posted along the road.

Plan ahead, follow the detour signs, and keep your GPS handy. You’ll be back on Fernbrook before you know it.
