Wild Times Ahead: Minnesota Wild Block Party Comes to Plymouth July 22

The Minnesota Wild Block Party Series is rolling into Plymouth for one action-packed evening of fun, featuring:

🎲 Classic Yard Games for kids (and grown-up kids)

Sun, Sand & Sound: Beaches, Bands & Brews Returns August 8

Mark your calendar, grab your beach blanket, and get ready for one last splash of summer.

The City of Plymouth is closing out its free Summer Beach Series with Beaches, Bands & Brews — a laid-back, music-filled evening at East Medicine Lake Park on Friday, August 8 from 5:30 to 8:30 PM.

🎵 Live Music: The night’s soundtrack comes courtesy of Shirts and Skins, a high-energy dance band playing crowd-pleasing covers across all genres.

🍕 Food & Drinks: Come hungry! You’ll find a stacked lineup of local food trucks and vendors ready to serve:

  • Luce Line Brewing

  • Pizza Barn

  • Café Cairo

  • Mamas Taco

  • Philly Station

  • Soft Serve Social

(Vendors subject to change — but your cravings will be covered either way.)

🪑 What to Bring:

  • Blanket or lawn chairs

  • Cash/credit for food and drinks

  • Your beachy summer vibe

🚗 Parking Tips:

  • On-site parking at East Medicine Lake Park is limited.

  • Overflow parking is available at West Medicine Lake Park (just 2 miles away via paved trail — walk or bike over!).

  • Bike racks will be available at the event.

Applications Now Open for Plymouth’s Environmental Academy

Want to shrink your footprint and grow your knowledge?

The Plymouth Environmental Academy is back for its fifth year, offering local residents a free, hands-on way to explore how their daily choices impact the environment (and how to make a positive difference).

This once-a-month program runs from August through October, and includes 90-minute sessions that cover everything from stormwater systems to sustainable food and tree care.

🗓️ Upcoming Sessions:

  • Aug 21 at 6 PM: Guided nature walk through Schmidt Woods Park

  • Sept 11 at 7 PM: Tree care tips + food production insights

  • Sept 25 at 6 PM: Tour of plants, ponds & practices that protect water quality

  • Oct 9 at 7 PM: Stormwater 101 — how it works, why it matters

📍 Who Can Attend:

  • Open to all Plymouth residents

  • Free to join — but space is limited

  • Application required to participate
