Cops, Kids, and Curious Questions: Books with Badges is Back
Got a preschooler with a love for storytime and sirens?
The Plymouth Police Department is hosting Books with Badges, a kid-friendly event perfect for little bookworms and budding detectives alike.
Join them from 10–11 a.m. on Wednesdays, Dec. 11 and Dec. 18, at the K.U.B.E. indoor playground in the Plymouth Community Center (14800 34th Ave. N.). Officers will read to the kiddos, answer their questions (think: “What’s the coolest thing about being a cop?”), and show that behind the badge is a friendly face.
Here’s the deal:
Admission to the K.U.B.E. is $6 for Plymouth residents or $8 for non-residents.
Kids under 3, plus parents and guardians, get in free.
Bring your questions, your curiosity, and your little ones for a morning of fun and connection.

Romeo, Juliet, and High School Drama (Literally)
This January, Wayzata’s high school theater program is taking the stage with one of the greatest love stories of all time—Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare.
Directed by Ben Gansky, this timeless tragedy tells the story of two star-crossed lovers from feuding families who risk it all for their forbidden romance. Think secret vows, moonlit rendezvous, and a marriage their parents definitely didn’t RSVP to. But with passion and loyalty come heartbreak, as a series of tragic events sends the streets of Verona into chaos.
Whether you're coming for the dramatic sword fights, the swoon-worthy balcony scene, or just to finally figure out why Juliet’s asking "wherefore art thou," this is a performance you won't want to miss.
When: January 16–18, 2025
Where: The Black Box Theater
Mark your calendars and prepare for a night of love, loss, and legendary drama!
Tickets are coming soon and can be purchased at https://www.whstheatre.com/.

Help Shape the Future of Housing in Plymouth
Every year, the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development sends federal housing funds to Hennepin County (around $5 million) and the City of Plymouth (about $260,000) to support suburban housing and development projects.
To make sure these dollars are spent where they’re needed most, Hennepin County is developing a new five-year plan—and they want your input.
Here’s the scoop:
Your feedback will help set priorities for affordable housing projects and broader county efforts.
You can share your thoughts through a short online survey. It takes less than five minutes, and you can provide as much feedback as you’d like.
The survey deadline is Friday, Dec. 13.
Want to get involved?
Prefer email? Send your input to [email protected].
Curious about the last five-year plan? Check out the 2020-2024 Consolidated Plan.
More than 2,000 residents shaped the last plan. Now’s your chance to join the conversation and help guide the future of housing in Plymouth and beyond.
