📢 TALK OF THE TOWN

Fire & Ice 2025: Bigger, Better, and Off the Ice!

Plymouth’s 36th Annual Fire & Ice Festival: Feb. 1, 3-9 p.m.
This year’s Fire & Ice winter festival promises all the frosty fun you love—plus a few new surprises! After years of cancellations due to poor ice conditions, the event is moving to Plymouth Creek Playfield (3625 Fernbrook Lane N.), but rest assured, it’s bringing the heat and the ice.

What’s Happening?
Expect a day full of winter magic with activities for all ages:

  • Ice skating, sledding, snowshoeing, and cross-country skiing

  • A snow village and a heated tent with BINGO and DJ-led tunes

  • A snow play area and a llama meet-and-greet for the kids

  • A fireworks spectacular at 6:30 p.m., followed by live music from Jonah and the Whales in the heated tent

  • Food trucks and an ice bar for snacks and drinks (cash/credit accepted)

Extra Fun:

  • Shuttle Service: Limited parking at Plymouth Creek Playfield means attendees can park for free at Plymouth Community Center (14800 34th Ave. N.) and hop on a complimentary shuttle. Details will be posted on the city website in late January.

  • Medallion Hunt: Starting Jan. 9, solve weekly clues on the city’s social media or the Fire & Ice webpage to find the hidden medallion. The prize? A cool $250! And new this year, there’s a live medallion hunt on-site during the festival.

  • Coloring Contest: Pick up your crayons and compete in the 6th Annual Coloring Contest. Open to all ages (yes, adults too!). Submit your masterpiece by Jan. 17 for a chance to win gift cards. Categories and submission details can be found at plymouthmn.gov/fireandice.

In case of extreme weather, cancellations will be announced at plymouthmn.gov/fireandice or by calling the weather line at 763-509-5205.

Mark your calendar and bring the whole family—this year’s Fire & Ice is gearing up to be the best yet!
