📢 TALK OF THE TOWN

Your fall cleanup just got easier.

Ahh…it’s that time of year again. The leaves are falling, and your yard waste is piling up. After you’ve tackled all your end-of-season cleanup, Wayzata’s compost site is there to help with all your grass, leaves, and soft yard waste needs.

Where: 299 Wayzata Blvd West, Wayzata, MN

When:

  • Monday-Friday: 7:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.

  • Weekends (October & first two weekends of November): 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

The compost site is for Wayzata residents only, so make sure to grab your annual beach parking and compost permit at City Hall before heading over.

Here are a couple more important details:

  • Unbag all materials before dropping them off and take your empty bags home for reuse.

  • If you’ve got brush, head over to Plymouth’s Yard Waste Site instead (bring your ID & proof of residency).

In addition, Wayzata's Fall Leaf Pickup is Monday, November 11. Get those leaves curbside in compostable bags (ASTM D6400 standard) by 7:00 a.m. Bags that say “biodegradable” or “degradable” won’t cut it—stick to compostable. Each bag should weigh no more than 40 lbs.
